The English-Speaking Union (ESU) invites teacher(s) and students of Hong Kong Secondary Schools to join the following programmes under English Alliance 2025/26 which are supported by the Standing Committee on Language Education and Research (SCOLAR) and funded by Language Fund.
Programme A: Reader’s Theatre
This is the popular fun-filled Reader’s Theatre Programme! Students will read different characters in a play, learn good English conversation and vocabulary, and at the same time gain confidence and learn to be a team player. Recommended for S1 - S5 students, the English-Speaking Union Hong Kong is offering a choice of four exciting stories:

This is the seventh year that English-Speaking Union Hong Kong is running the Reader’s Theatre Programme and we are pleased that we have received overwhelming positive response. The programme will consist of two sessions of two hours each during weekdays at your school premises. The tutors are well-experienced and dedicated educationists. The programme is curated by ESU(HK) supported by SCOLAR. Each participating student and teacher will receive an original copy of the book after the programme is completed successfully.
Programme B : Impromptu Speaking: give a short speech with little or no preparation
This is the third year that English-Speaking Union (HK) is running the Impromptu Speaking Programme. We are offering this programme to S2-S5 students who would like to advance their public speaking skills. They will learn how to think quickly, organise ideas clearly and speak fluently.
